Project overview

A model for the work - not a claim about completed work.

The framing below shows the kind of problem this concept is built to address.

Nocturne is a demo for a modern Canadian restaurant in Toronto's King West, built as part of our Luma House hospitality platform, which also includes café and bakery demos. Guests can explore a seasonal menu with dietary tags (gluten-free, vegetarian and more), reserve a table by choosing location, date, time and party size, and order online. They can also discover limited-time experiences such as tasting menus, weekend brunch, holiday dining and Valentine's Dinner, complete with live countdowns. The platform supports multiple locations, and staff get a full admin dashboard and POS to manage menus, reservations, orders, campaigns and payments from one place. We built it with Next.js, React and PostgreSQL, with secure authentication. It's optimized for speed and SEO and ready to deploy on Vercel, Railway, Render, AWS or any other cloud.

5 challenges

Objectives

The problems the concept is built to solve.

  • Restaurants lose bookings to phone-only reservations and missed calls.01
  • Printed menus are hard to update and don't show dietary information clearly.02
  • Seasonal events and special menus rarely get enough visibility.03
  • Front-of-house and back-office tools were disconnected.04
  • Multi-location restaurants need one consistent digital experience.05
Mapped to scope
5 moves

Solution direction

How the build is shaped to meet them.

  • 01We built 24/7 online table reservations with location, date, time and party-size selection.
  • 02We created a digital menu with prices, courses and dietary tags, all editable from the admin panel.
  • 03We added campaign pages for tasting menus, brunch and holiday events with live countdown timers.
  • 04We built an integrated POS and admin dashboard for orders, reservations and payments.
  • 05We built multi-location support with per-location hours, addresses and reservations.

About this demo

Clear about what is - and is not - shown.

Is this restaurants case study based on a real client?
It is presented as demonstration content showing the intended portfolio structure. A real client is only named once they have approved being identified.
Are the outcomes measured results?
No claimed percentages, revenue figures, client names, logos, or testimonials are shown. Verified evidence can replace the placeholder outcome section later.
Could Nextryzer build a similar restaurants system?
The actual scope would follow discovery of workflows, integrations, users, security obligations, operating constraints, and desired business outcomes.
